A city with many stories to tell, Macau is most famously known as a former Portuguese colony, and more recently, home to a UNESCO world heritage site. Bursting with people and colours, Macau embodies a unique cultural identity - a fusion of Portuguese and Chinese landmarks, traditions as well as Vegas style entertainment. From pastel coloured colonial buildings to incense filled temples and extravagant casinos, Macau is a colourful montage of life - past and present, foreign and local, nostalgic and modern - weaved together within one city. A perfect short detour from Hong Kong, Macau offers a memorable experience for all who visit.

HIGHLIGHTS

A Ma Temple
Built on the actual site where the seafarer's goddess appeared to the crowds, this 16th century temple consists of prayer halls, pavillions joined together to form a well ordered complex nestled on a small hill.

Macau Tower
Rising 338m above ground, this iconic structure is the tallest in Macau offering stunning views of the city and its surrounds both on ground and at the top of the tower (entrance fee applies).

Section of the Old City Walls
Erected by the Portuguese against physical invasion, the old city wall is the city's earliest defence structure. A wall once dividing the Chinese and the Portuguese, it tells a story of the people in early Macau.

Senado Square
Beautiful colonial landmarks and cobblestones pavement mark the "Senado Square" of Macau - once home to key government buildings of the Portuguese and now embodies the vibrancy of present day Macau.
